Murcott

Description

Murcottis a dense, heavy, late season mandarin with intense sweetness and flavour very satisfying.

The flesh is richly orange.

The peel is smooth and thin with a reddish orange colour which is a little more difficult to remove when compared with many easy-peelers, though is no real problem once a break through the skin is achieved.

Fermont

Description

We consider Fremont the origin of all current day enhanced mandarins.

It has a shiny red/orange color, thin easy to peel skin, and a sweet juicy taste.

But it also has the 2 major traits a modern day mandarin should not have:

lots of seeds and a short shelf life.

Nowadays Fremonts are mostly packed for Middle East where taste and color are still valued over hardiness and being seedless

Dancy tangerine

Description

Dancy tangerines are small and have a round, flattened shape, measuring 5 to 6 centimeters in diameter.

Some fruits will be slightly pear-shaped due to the presence of a small neck at the stem end.

The smooth rind is a glossy, deep orange to red-orange color, and has a leathery texture.

It is thin and easy to peel.

Dancy tangerines have dark orange flesh that contains anywhere from 6 to 20 seeds.

They have a sweet and tart flavor, with hints of spice.

Maraf

Description

A Maraf is a tangor, a crossover between a willow leaf mandarin orange and a sweet orange.

It is a profound orange tone with a smooth, polished appearance.

Maraf can be isolated into 7 to 14 portions.

They are normally succulent and sweet, with less corrosive than oranges, smaller in size, however, better in taste than different mandarins, typically seedless tissue.
